The negotiations between Council of European Union and European Parliament about the new Trade Mark directive and regulation have started. The wildest guess is that the legislation procedure could be concluded during 2014.

Among the academics a concern about the proposals’ impact on free speech has risen and many of them have signed a recommendation how to avoid the threats.

Professor Annette Kur was one of the key persons in the Max Planck Study, which paved the way for a reform of the Trade Mark system in EU. She will evaluate the latest proposals concerning the reform.

Do not miss this unique opportunity to learn more of what is the status of European trade mark law today.

Chair of the seminar is Docent Max Oker-Blom, Hanken School of Economics
